These types of cases produce very serious injuries. There's nothing to buffet you from the ground and the injury that you can sustain from hitting the ground. But there are things that you need to do right away.
Go to the scene and look and see what caused you to trip or slip and fall. Make sure you take photographs. If you can, bring a ruler with you or a tape measure and measure whatever it is that caused you to trip and fall or slip and fall.
Also, if you have any visible injuries on your body, such as bruises, cuts, scrapes, have somebody else take photographs of them. And don't take just close-ups. Make sure you take a full body picture so we know whose body has those injuries.
Then you need to talk with a lawyer right away. There's lots of things that need to be done early on in a trip-and-fall and slip-and-fall case. We need to assess what the lighting is like, what the trees are like, what the conditions are like, a lot of variables. Plus, you may need to retain an expert to do a site inspection early on.
